Kamal Bepari (40) was injured in an explosion while making a hand grenade in a village of Kalkini on the border of Barisal’s Muladi upazila. He died on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Kamal Bepari is the son of Salim Bepari of East Toika village of Batamara Union of Muladi Upazila. On June 1, he was injured in an explosion while making hand grenades in Kazikandi area of Kalkini upazila.
His body was buried around 12 noon on Thursday.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of Muladi police station confirmed the truth of the matter.
According to local village police, on the night of June 1, Kamal Bepari went to Kazikandi area of East Enayetnagar Union of Kalkini Upazila bordering Muladi Upazila to make hand grenades. At that time 3 people including Kamal were injured in the hand grenade explosion. His colleagues took him to the emergency department of Kalkini Upazila Health Complex. When the condition worsened there, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital that night. He died on Wednesday night.
