It can be said that Talk of the Country is now Sadiq Agro’s 15 lakh rupees goat. Discussions are going on through social media. The first question of netizens, why the price of goats is so high? Second question, what is the source of so much money of the revenue officer’s son?
Recently, Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat paid Tk 1 lakh in advance from Sadiq Agro for Tk 12 lakh. He was supposed to take the goat on June 12 but he did not take it. In the meantime, the video of the goat has spread on social media. Its price is advertised as 15 lakhs.
Meanwhile, despite denying Ifat as his son, the latest news is that Mahiur Rahman has married twice. First wife’s name is Laila Kaniz. Who is currently the Chairman of Raipura Upazila Parishad of Narsingdi. They have one son and one daughter. On the other hand, the child of the second wife is Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat.
This information was given by Member of Parliament of Feni-2 Constituency Nizam Uddin Hazari. He said, Ifat is the second son of NBR member Matiur Rahman. It is assumed that Motiur Rahman denied the relationship with Ifat in anger.
Mohammad Imran Hossain, the owner of Sadiq Agro, told BBC Bangla that the price of the goat, which is the subject of so much speculation, is the largest breed of goat in the world. The name of this breed is ‘Beetle’ and it is the biggest goat ever produced in Bangladesh.
The gray brown goat in question weighs 175 kilograms and is 62 inches tall.
He said, there is only one goat of this rare species in Bangladesh.
When asked if it was imported, Imran Hossain said that the goat was purchased from a market in Jessore two months ago.
How did this goat come to Jessore market? In this context, he said, we do not know that. However, such goats and big cows are sold in the village market in the early stage. After buying them from the market, we rear them and sell them.
When information comes to us, we immediately send people and buy it with money. Because we like the goat very much.
Imran Hossain claimed that the purchase price of this goat was Tk 10 lakh 35 thousand. There are more costs incidental to it.
That is why its price was fixed at 15 lakh rupees. Another reason goat prices are high is because of superior breed and pedigree.
When asked what is the issue of pedigree here, he said, in the case of goats or cows of good pedigree, the certificate is shown to the buyer at the time of sale.
