Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami expressed their opinion about the statement of former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi published in some national dailies and online news portals.
On Sunday (September 8), the party’s secretary general and former MP Professor Mia Gholam Parwar said in a statement sent to the media, ‘Recently, our attention has been drawn to the news published in some national dailies and online news portals about the speech of former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi. Our statement in this regard is that former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi is not a person associated with Jamaat-e-Islami. He has no organizational ties with Jamaat-e-Islami. He does not represent Jamaat-e-Islami. The speech he has given is his very personal.’
‘So there is no chance to associate his statement with Jamaat-e-Islami. There is no room to spread confusion about Jamaat-e-Islami based on his statement. I am drawing the attention of all concerned,’ said Jamaat
