Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, since the beginning of the student uprising or revolution, we have been instructing people of different religions to fulfill the duties of their brothers in religious institutions. Because many people want to create unrest in the country by creating incidents, we will not give them that chance.
Jamaat Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Zaker said this in an exchange meeting with the central leaders of the party.
This exchange meeting was held on Friday (August 16) at 4 pm in the conference room of Dhaka Metropolitan South Office in Paltan of the capital.
The meeting was also attended by Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General of Zaker Party Shamim Haider, Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member and Amir Mu. Nurul Islam Bulbul, member of the central working council and secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South. Shafiqul Islam Masud, member of Shura in the Central Majlis respectively Naib Amir Abdus Sabur Fakir of Dhaka Metropolitan South, Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, Dhaka Metropolitan South Assistant Secretary Delawar Hossain, Muhammad Kamal Hossain, Dr. Abdul Mannan, Central Leader of Zaker Party Advocate Abu Latif Khan and other leaders at various levels.
Ameer Jamaat said, I wish the souls of those who were martyred in the student revolution. We have a responsibility to their families. We want to build a clean society. While visiting the families of the martyred and injured, we were inspired by the passion and determination we saw in them.
He said, after this revolution of the students, we are noticing that chaos is going on in some places. Some miscreants have indulged in such heinous acts of grabbing people’s land, grabbing wealth, and looting. We hate them. We have to be aware of restoring peace and order in the country, bringing back comfort in social life and not repeating the mistakes of the past in the country. Everyone’s right should be guaranteed here.
He also said that the country cannot be divided on the basis of majority or minority. Irrespective of caste, religion, caste, the person who is born in this country is a proud citizen of the country. Bangladesh belongs to all of us. We have equal compassion for all legal citizens of this country.
Zaker Party Secretary General Shamim Haider said that Jamaat-e-Islami and Zaker Party are one of the biggest Islamic political parties in Bangladesh. Today, we have met for exchange of views to build the country, to take the people of this country forward. Together we will make our country a prosperous country.
