Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, Bangladesh does not need to see who is quarreling with any country. Bangladesh will move forward with those who will be partners in development.
He said this on Sunday (June 2) while participating in the awarding ceremony, crest and financial awards to the selected ones in the one-minute long video competition titled ‘Amar Khe Bangabandhu’.
Sheikh Hasina said, we always want peace, not war. Want friendship with everyone and keep that friendship but I move forward.
Urging everyone to be vigilant, the Prime Minister said, I think, no one can pull this Bangladesh back. We have to be ever vigilant so that no one can do the same after August 15 that has turned us into a nation of beggars. We have to move forward with the country.
He said that one side of the country opposes all development projects. However, if development projects are implemented, they are happy to use them.
Sheikh Hasina said that Bangabandhu was killed by his family in 1975 so that the benefits of independence did not reach the common people. After that murder, the distortion of history started. With the efforts of the Awami League government, the stigma of distorting history is slowly being erased.
The Prime Minister said, ‘March 7 speech is banned. The Jai Bangla slogan that the people of this country shed their blood during the liberation war, that Jai Bangla slogan is also deleted from Bangladesh.
He urged the new generation to take the lead of the country by being educated in good education to build a ‘hunger-poverty-free country’ of Bangabandhu’s dream.
