Former US President Donald Trump has divided Americans, said Kamala Harris, a Democratic candidate in the upcoming election.
At a rally in Georgia on Thursday, Kamala Harris said Americans are ready to move forward after a difficult time. That’s because he reached out to moderate voters in his first interview since dramatically winning the Democratic nomination in November’s presidential election.
The 59-year-old Democratic candidate insisted to CNN that he would get tough on illegal immigration and support controversial oil and gas production.
“I’m the best person to do this,” Harris said in a joint interview with running mate Tim Walz while campaigning in the swing state of Georgia.
The first female and black and South Asian vice president said former President Trump has ‘really divided our nation as Americans.’
Harris, a Democrat, also said he would name a Republican to his cabinet if he wins.
Harris called Trump’s interview ‘boring’ in a post on social media.
