Bangladesh Labor Party leaders held a meeting with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
The meeting was held at the Jamaat office in Moghbazar of the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
At the time, the leaders said that more than a thousand students were killed by shooting in the anti-discrimination student movement. Those who opened fire on the orders of the fascist Awami government must be identified and prosecuted for genocide.
Thousands of people are still missing in this movement. Where are they and what condition are they in? They should be handed over to their families.
The meeting discussed state reforms, strengthening economy, recovery of smuggled money, law and order situation, genocide trial and prevailing situation in the country.
The leaders also said that it has been reported in the newspaper that the fascist Awami government ran away with a debt of Tk 1.836 billion in the last decade and a half. According to the report of US-based research institute Global Financial Integrity, about 18 lakh crore taka has been smuggled from Bangladesh in the last 15 years. They have looted the entire financial system of the country and turned it into a bottomless basket. In order to strengthen the country’s economy, there is a need to bring back money laundered abroad and ensure accountability and stop corruption in all sectors.
Fascism’s minions are conspiring to destroy the law and order situation. They are trying to destroy the atmosphere of communal-harmony by attacking people of different religions. Everyone including the state law enforcement agencies should be vocal to stop these plots.
