This time, Sadapantis have called for a mass meeting in Suhrawardy

This time the followers of Delhi’s Maulana Saad Kandhalvi, a part of Tabligh Jamaat, have called for a mass meeting in Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital. They will hold this program on December 7. Imam Mufti Muhammad Azimuddin of Sadpanthi Kakrail Markaz (Center) Mosque confirmed this information yesterday.

Before this, recently another section of Tablighi, Zubair Panthi held a mass meeting in Suhrawardy. Since then there was renewed tension between Maulana Saad and Zubair Panthi. In the meantime, Saad’s followers performed Friday prayers in a large congregation at Kakrail Mosque yesterday. Thousands of worshipers go together to Kakrail Mosque. Police and eyewitnesses said that there was some ruckus when the Sadapants entered the mosque. But later there was no problem.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jewel Rana told reporters that sufficient police have been deployed in Kakrail Mosque and surrounding areas to ensure security. He said that both sides of Tabligh Jamaat have decided on the basis of agreement – ​​Zubair followers will stay in Kakrail mosque for four weeks and Sad fans will stay for two weeks.

On Tuesday, Home Affairs and Religion Advisor Maulana Zubair Ahmad held a meeting with the supporting Ulama-Mashaikhs. It was decided that the government will take steps to resolve the dispute between the two sides of Tabligh Jamaat in April next year. Until then, both parties will remain at the Kakrail Mosque as per the previous rules, and will organize the Biswa Ijtema at Tongi.
As per the earlier rules, Kakrail Mosque and Markaz will remain under the control of Zubair Panthi for four weeks. The next two weeks will be under the control of the rightists. Sadapanti’s fortnight is scheduled to begin today. Those concerned said that on the occasion of the beginning of the two weeks, Sadapantis came to Dhaka from different districts of the country. They gathered in Kakrail and surrounding areas and proceeded together towards the mosque. When they entered there was some ruckus and the police handled the situation. 
Golam Farooq, OC of Ramna police station, said that everyone has performed Friday prayers. There was no problem.
