Md Tauhid Hossain, the foreign affairs adviser of the interim government, said that the ultimate goal of the government is to go towards the elections. This government will be removed during the elections.
He said this during a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs auditorium on Sunday (11 August) afternoon
At the beginning of the exchange of views, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of those killed in the student movement.
The foreign adviser said, ‘The ultimate goal of the current government is to transfer power through proper elections. This government is not of any particular side, US-China-India; Wants to maintain good relations with everyone to protect the interests of the country.’
He said, ‘Our first task is to restore stability. It may take seven days, it may take 15 days, it may take two months.’
He also said that there will definitely be an election. This government will be removed through elections. However, it is not possible to say how many days it will take.
