Awami League has announced a protest march program in the capital today. Students have been staying at zero point in Gulistan since Sunday (November 10) morning to stop Awami League. They started gathering there from last night.

Earlier on Saturday around 8 pm, the anti-discrimination student movement’s Facebook page announced the sit-in program at zero point in Gulistan.

Meanwhile, earlier, Awami League announced to organize a protest march at Shaheed Noor Hossain Square at Zero Point at 3 pm to demand ‘removal of undemocratic forces and re-establishment of democratic system’.

This was announced in a press release published on the team’s Facebook page on Thursday.

Anti-discrimination student movement leader and Dhaka University law student Tariqul Islam confirmed the announcement of their organization’s program at Zero Point on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said in a Facebook post, ‘Awami League in its current form is a fascist party. There is no way to allow this fascist group to protest in Bangladesh. Anyone who tries to hold rallies, gatherings and processions on the orders of the genocidal and dictator Sheikh Hasina will have to face the strict stance of the law enforcement agencies. The interim government will not tolerate any violence or any attempt to disrupt the law and order situation in the country.’

Advisor to the Interim Government Asif Mahmood Sajeeb Bhuiyan gave a status on Facebook in this regard. He wrote, “If anyone from mass murderers and banned organizations tries to organize a program, law and order enforcement will take strict action.”
