Secretary General of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir Zahidul Islam visited the flood-affected areas of Farhadnagar Union and Lemua Union of Feni city to distribute foodpack gifts, free medical camps and shelters.
On Wednesday (August 28), he visited the relief operations in the flood-affected areas by the Feni City Branch.
At that time, Central School Secretary of the student camp Safiullah, Central Law Secretary Abdullah Al Noman and local leaders were present with him.
Secretary General Zahidul Islam gave foodpacks to the flood affected areas of Farhadnagar Union and visited the free medical camp in Lemua Union. During this time, he spoke to the flood victims, inquired about their condition in detail and assured them of necessary assistance.
The Secretary General said to the people present, ‘The suffering you are suffering due to the flood, the entire student population of Bangladesh understands your suffering. At the onset of the floods, mobile networks were down in all districts. We were very worried. The people of the country have tried to share your suffering from every place. We are grateful to the people of the country.’
He also said, ‘The current situation is very difficult. Apart from the relief activities on behalf of the student camp, free medical services will be available in every flood-affected union in this district, Inshallah. As part of our responsibility to stand by all the affected people, we have come to you with some gifts. We call upon all responsible organizations and individuals to stand by the Banvasi people.’
He urged everyone to be aware of various pathogens after the floods.
