Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has commented that Israeli forces are carrying out military aggression in Gaza and Lebanon. He also called for an immediate end to the Israeli ‘massacre’ on the people of Gaza and Lebanon.

He made this call at the opening ceremony of a joint conference of leaders of the Arab and Muslim world in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on Monday. This is the harshest public criticism of a Saudi official since the beginning of the war.

Al Jazeera, BBC and other international media reported that this conference was organized to discuss Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon. The leaders of the Middle East and Muslim countries participated in it.

Saudi Press Agency reports that the main goals of the conference are to stop this aggression, protect civilians, help the Palestinian and Lebanese people, take a stand together (of the countries concerned) and take steps to stop the ongoing attacks and establish lasting peace and stability in the region. Applying pressure on the international community to take.

At this time, the Saudi Prince strongly condemned the genocide committed against the people of Palestine and Lebanon. He said, ‘Massacre is being carried out on the common people of Palestine and Lebanon.’

The Saudi prince also said that Israel must refrain from any new aggression. Along with that, he also called on the countries of the world to recognize the Palestinian state.

In a sign of improving relations between rivals Riyadh and Tehran, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman warned Israel against launching strikes on Iranian soil. He also called for the complete withdrawal of Israelis from the West Bank and Gaza.

Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul condemned the Israeli aggression. He said, ‘The plight of the Palestinian people cannot be expressed in words. All of Israel’s actions against the Palestinian people are hindering efforts to achieve lasting peace. Only through justice can we achieve lasting peace.’

He also said, ‘The world cannot turn a blind eye to Israeli violence.’

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati said, ‘The people of his country have never seen such a crisis in the past because of Israel’s war against Hezbollah. Lebanon is at risk of a historic and existential crisis.’

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu attended the conference.

However, Iran’s President Massoud Pezheshkian could not attend the conference due to his busy schedule with state affairs. On the phone, he told the Saudi prince that Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref can attend the conference.

Last November, an emergency conference was held in Riyadh involving members of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This conference is seen as its follow-up conference.
