Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought China’s help in quickly resolving the Rohingya crisis.
He said, ‘Bangladesh is now very worried about the Rohingya crisis due to the uncertainty of the solution. Because it has already been six years since the forcibly displaced Myanmar citizens came to Bangladesh.
Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, sought this assistance when he met the Prime Minister at the National Parliament Building office on Monday.
During the press briefing after the meeting, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Md. Naemul Islam Khan quoted Sheikh Hasina as saying, “It (Rohingya crisis) is very disappointing and worrying for us.
The Prime Minister told the Chinese minister, ‘This is a special message from me (Prime Minister) to the President of China for an amicable solution to the Rohingya crisis.
He also said, ‘He (Prime Minister) requested the Chinese Minister to do something on his own behalf and with extra interest.’
