In a post shared on social media platform X on Sunday (August 11), the country’s president said. Muizz emphasized that Maldives-Bangladesh as long time close friends and partners, Maldives wishes for unity, peace and prosperity for the people of Bangladesh under its leadership.
According to the local media, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister last Monday (August 5) in the face of a round of demands of the anti-discrimination student movement. After the resignation, the process of forming an interim government to run the country began.
