Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working council member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, ‘The path of the Islamic movement is not one of flowers, but of friendship. Unspeakable torture has come down on those who have invited the right to religion to the self-indulgent people over the ages. Even the prophets and messengers were not spared from it, rather some of them had to accept martyrdom. In the context of our country, oppression is just a continuation of history. Therefore, the call of Islam should reach every house, ignoring all obstacles and oppression. To make the movement acceptable and popular, efforts should be made to solve people’s problems. Jamaat has to prove to the common people that it is a mass-oriented, idealistic and welfare-oriented political party. Only then will the victory of religion become inevitable. He called upon all levels of manpower to expand da’awati activities to make religion victorious.’
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a Rukon education camp organized by Chandraganj upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Lakshipur district in a local auditorium of Lakshipur on Thursday.
Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, ‘The country and the nation are passing through a great crisis. The government has destroyed the country’s democracy and democratic values to fulfill its illegitimate political ambitions. Due to their irresponsibility, arbitrariness, the country has now become a free-roaming field for hegemonists and expansionists. As a result, the country’s independence-sovereignty is now facing a threat. Therefore, for the greater interest of the nation and for the protection of independence, sovereignty and state integrity, the workers of the Islamic movement must play the role of fearless soldiers in the field with the desire of martyrdom. Otherwise the situation may be more dire in the coming days.’
