The Appellate Division has rejected the leave to appeal against the verdict of canceling the admission of 169 students of the first class who were admitted to the school branch of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College of the capital on the charge of not following the age norms.
It is learned that a parent applied for the cancellation of the admission of a total of 169 students, including 10 born in 2015 and 159 born in 2016, who were irregularly admitted to the first class in the 2024 academic year without following the upper age limit (set by themselves) for admission to the first class in the 2024 academic year in Vikarunnisa. As the school authorities did not respond, he filed a writ in the High Court. On January 23, the High Court ordered to settle the matter within 10 days.
Then on February 28, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education wrote to the school authorities to cancel the admission of these 169 students. In view of this, the authorities canceled the admission of those students.
