The songs composed by Nazrul, sung in the voice of Abbasuddin, like the Azad newspaper and the Mohammedan Sporting Club, in the freedom movement of the exploited and oppressed Muslim population of British-ruled Bengal.
These united large groups of people, giving them emotional strength and giving success to their voices. Similarly, Nazrul’s timeless patriotic-rebellious poems and songs inspired the nation to acquire another new flag and map in the struggle against Yahya Khan’s military in 1971.
