The ‘National Citizens’ Committee’ is making its debut in achieving the goals of the new political settlement. This committee will work as a pressure group in the necessary reforms of the state to abolish the fascist system. The official debut of this committee will be at 4:30 pm on Sunday in the central Shaheed Minar of Dhaka. This information was informed in a notification sent to the media on Saturday night.
It is said that Sheikh Hasina, the worst fascist ruler in the history of Bangladesh, has fallen in exchange for the participation of the people of all levels of the country under the leadership of the anti-discrimination student movement and the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs and injured. The goal of a new political settlement must be achieved by abolishing the fascist system in the second phase of the student uprising.
It is said in the circular, Bangladesh has to be restructured to implement the new political language and community that the student uprising has presented. One of our objectives is to arrive at a new historical understanding through the exchange of views with various political parties and socio-cultural initiatives active in the society regarding the formulation of a new democratic constitution through the Constituent Assembly and to organize the people of Bangladesh accordingly. For this purpose, the official debut of National Citizen Committee is going to take place at Central Shahid Minar at 4:30 pm on Sunday. Everyone is invited to participate in this event.
There will be committees at the district, metropolitan and police station levels : After the formation of the central committee, it has been reported that citizens’ committees will be formed at the 64 district and 12 metropolitan and police station levels of the country. Ariful Islam, a member of the Liaison Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said that the National Citizens Committee is being formed as a continuation of the popular uprising of the students. After the formation of the central committee, 64 districts and 12 metropolises of the country and then citizen committees will be formed at the police station level. This committee will work as a pressure group in the necessary reforms of the state to abolish the fascist system.
