Member of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Amir of Dhaka Metropolis South Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul said, “The heroes of the anti-discrimination student movement should be evaluated by the state. In return for their sacrifice, the country and the nation have been saved from 15 years of irony and pain.’
He said that fascist Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country because of the movement of students and their blood. The martyrs of the movement sacrificed their lives and freed the people of the beloved motherland. It is because of you who have been injured fighting from the front to protect the people of this country that today we are getting a chance to breathe in a free and independent Bangladesh. Being by your side is not only our responsibility but also our satisfaction.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolis South office in Paltana on Monday night during an exchange of views with the injured in the anti-discrimination student movement and financial donation ceremony organized by the Dhaka Metropolis South Jamaat.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said, “The government wanted to use state power to suppress the anti-discrimination student movement, but they failed. On August 5, he had to escape through the back door of the public building.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Council Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary Shafiqul Islam Masud were present as special guests, Central Majlis Shura Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Nayeb Amir Abdus Sabur Fakir, Central Working Council Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Nayeb Amir Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, former teacher of Dhaka University, Professor Fazlul Haque, Shura member of the Central Majlis and member of the Working Council of Dhaka Metropolitan South. Professor Fazlul Haque said to the injured, “In exchange for your sacrifice, the people of the country got rid of a terrible situation. Only Allah will give you the reward.’
At that time, 20 people present among the injured were given financial gifts by Dhaka Metropolitan South. The martyrdom of those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement and the speedy recovery of the injured were prayed for the welfare of the country and nation.
