BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the country has now become Mug’s mulluk.
He made these comments in a statement sent to the media expressing deep concern over the denial of bail to engineer Ishraq Hossain, a member of BNP’s International Relations Committee and senior member of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP, and sending him to jail.
In the statement, BNP Secretary General said, the country has now become a mug’s mulluk. The Awami ruling group, which seized the state power through the dummy election on January 7, has started indescribable torture and oppression on the leaders and workers of the opposition parties, including the BNP, in various ways across the country to retain their illegal power. And the only purpose of such misdeeds is that the opposition parties of the country cannot criticize the dictatorial behavior of the occupying government. Sending BNP leaders and activists to jail without bail in false cases has become the main program of the fascist Awami government.
Denial of bail to engineer Ishraq Hossain and sending him to jail is a continuous part of that programme.
Mirza Fakhrul expressed deep concern over such inhuman incident and immediately called for withdrawal of fabricated and political revenge case filed against Engineer Ishraq Hossain and his unconditional release.
