Mirza Fakhrul said that the public explosion is the manifestation of the anger that has been created among the students of the country due to the excessive excesses of the last 15 years. This popular uprising proved once again that no dictator can survive with the power of the people. I congratulate our students and the people of the country.
He said, this country belongs to all of us. A lot of damage has already been done. A peaceful environment is essential for the smooth running of the country. Now everyone has to show responsibility. Do not do any kind of obstinate work. No action shall be taken which may worsen the law and order situation. It is the duty of all of us to ensure the safety of life and property of all, irrespective of religion, caste, including the minority communities.
The BNP Secretary General at this time called on the leaders and workers of his party at all levels and the people of the country to remain calm.
He said that a new interim government is going to be formed. They will take legal action against all wrongdoing and injustice. I appeal to the new government to release all the leaders and activists and withdraw the case. At the same time, I am demanding the immediate release of the three-time Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and the provision of better medical treatment abroad.
