A delegation of students submitted a memorandum to the President’s military secretary around 3 pm on Sunday.The delegation informed the media after coming out of Banga Bhavan.Earlier on Sunday (July 14) at 2:25 p.m., a delegation of 12 students went to present a memorandum to the President and were taken inside by the policemen.The delegation includes Sarjis Alam, Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud, Hasib Al Islam, Rifat Rashid, Hannan Masud, Sumaiya Akhtar, Abdul Quader, Mehrunnesa Nidra, Md. Mahin Sarkar, Arif Sohail and Ashiq.The agitating students started gathering in front of the library in Kala Bhavan of Dhaka University from 11 o’clock on Sunday with the aim of getting one point of demand. Later at 12 noon they started this march from the front of the central library. Students of all educational institutions of Dhaka joined the march.At that time, when the procession proceeded towards Bangabhaban, the police barricaded them in front of Shiksha Bhavan around 1 pm. Later the students broke the police barricade and proceeded. After that, the students started chanting ‘Bhua Bhua’ when they crossed the Shiksha Bhawan area with the public march and reached the secretariat. Later the secretariat gate was closed.When their program reaches the zero point of the capital, the police barricades can be seen. Unable to move forward due to the barricades, the protesters sat on the road. At one stage, around 1:40 PM, the students broke the barricade at Gulistan Zero Point and headed towards Bangabavan.Incidentally, Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, announced this program at a press conference in front of the central library of Dhaka University on Saturday (July 13) at 6:30 p.m.
