Student killed in road accident in Narsingdi

A fifth-grade student has been killed in a road accident in Narsingdi’s Monohardi.

The accident occurred in the Chandabari area of ​​the Hetemdi-Sagardi bypass road of the upazila on Friday (December 13) evening.

The deceased, Rohan (11), is the son of Sohel Mia of Arjunchar village in Chandanbari Union.

He was a fifth grade student at Arjunchar Government Primary School.

Relatives said that on Friday evening, a bus ran over Rohan’s motorcycle in the Chandabari area. The motorcycle was crushed. Two people, Rohan and Tanim, were seriously injured. They were later sent to Dhaka Medical for advanced treatment. Rohan died there.

Jewel Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Monohardi Police Station, said, “One of the two injured has died. The bus has been seized, but the driver and helper have fled.”
