Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid respects at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Bangabandhu’s daughter laid wreath at Mahatma Gandhi’s mausoleum at Rajghat in Delhi on Saturday around 10 am local time. After paying his respects, he signed the inspection book.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina visited Rashtrapati Bhavan of India around 9 am local time in Delhi. He was given a royal welcome and a guard of honour. After that, Sheikh Hasina exchanged pleasantries with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers and officials of the country.
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also exchanged skills with senior officials of Bangladesh present there.
Earlier, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), an organization of Indian industrialists, held a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Taj Hotel in New Delhi on Friday. In this meeting, the Prime Minister urged Indian industrialists to increase investment in Bangladesh.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New Delhi on Friday afternoon on a two-day state visit at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A private meeting will be held today between the two Prime Ministers during the visit, followed by a delegation-level discussion. Several agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed between Dhaka and New Delhi to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.
