The chief adviser of the interim government. Shabbir Ahmed has been contractually appointed as Assistant Private Secretary to Muhammad Yunus.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Public Administration’s Contracts and Foreign Recruitment Branch on Wednesday (August 14). This information was given in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Bhaskar Debnath Bappi.
According to the notification, Shabbir Ahmad has been appointed on contractual basis as Assistant Private Secretary to the Principal Adviser with related benefits in grade 5 of the National Pay Scale 2015 for the tenure of the Principal Adviser from the date of joining or subject to his satisfaction (whichever occurs earlier).
The notification further states that other terms and conditions of this appointment shall be determined by the approved contract. This order was issued in public interest.
Earlier on Tuesday, journalist Shafiqul Alam was appointed as the press secretary of the chief adviser. He is the Bangladesh bureau chief of news agency AFP.
