BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the ongoing movement of students demanding cancellation of quota in government jobs is logical and justified. He said to the government, ‘Accept the demands of the students immediately. Otherwise the situation will be dire.’
He said these things during the chief guest’s speech at a doa and milad ceremony on the third floor of BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Monday (July 8) afternoon.
Nationalist ulama party organized this program of reading Quran and praying for the speedy recovery of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia who is seriously ill. During this time, special prayers were offered for the recovery of Khaleda Zia and the sick leaders and workers of the party.
Regarding the quota movement, Rizvi said, ‘How can the will of the government and the will of the court be the same? In the quota movement, the government had canceled the quota, which was also ruled by the court. Now it has been reinstated by the court again. In fact, the Awami League government does not want talent. It is the policy of the whole world that a group of geniuses will run the state. But this government has ruined that process.’
He said, ‘This government has kept 200 marks in the viva exam of BCS, so that party people can be appointed by increasing the marks. In this way, this government has created lawlessness. But an awakening has arisen against their reign of plunder. The people did not accept them.’
Rizvi said, ‘We are not free even though we live in a free country as much as the states of India enjoy freedom. This has been proven in the recent speech of the foreign minister. Through this he has despised the entire nation. insulted We have never heard of such a servile attitude before. It seems that the Awami League dummy government is playing the same role as Naiyo needs her husband’s permission to go. Because the Awami government never wanted the country to stand tall.
He also said, ‘Today, people close to the government are flourishing in looting and corruption. They only promote the development by showing pictures of some installations. In fact their people are buying houses and cars by smuggling money abroad. Made their people money crocodiles. They are playing tricks in the name of development. Their ministers-MPs have been traced to homes abroad.’
Regarding Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to China, Rizvi said, ‘Today, the government is not getting loans by going door to door. No country including China is giving loans to Sheikh Hasina’s government. This is due to the government’s wrong and looting policies.’
Referring to the physical condition of party chairperson Khaleda Zia, he said, ‘Khaleda Zia is on the brink of life and death. he is washing We are praying that God may restore the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia to us quickly.
