The German forest-based news portal The Mirror Asia has reported that the Indian intelligence agency ‘RA’ is implementing one plan after another on Hasinatto’s Bangladesh.
According to the newspaper report, India’s first project with Bangladesh is for the period from September 1 to November 30. The purpose of this project is to present the narrative that Hefazat Shibir and Hizb ut Tahrir have imposed on the Yunus government through the left. At the same time, there is a long relationship with ‘R’ to explain the parts of Hefajat Islam that, ‘Dr. Yunus Sudkhor, he is a US agent, is not a good Muslim by any means. In a few days this government may recognize the rights of homosexuals.’ This group has also been instructed not to go into unity with religious parties with Jamaat.
Mirror Asia reports that the ‘Bangla Mission’ is emphasizing Hizb ut Tahrir’s association with the agitators and creating a fear about their ideology. The Mirror Asia noted that a journalist working in Delhi, West Bengal, had already spoken at length with the three ‘anti-US imperialist’ former student leaders.
According to the report, India’s priority at the moment is to create instability by identifying the current government as a Hizb-Tahrir and Shibir-influenced government by November without giving the youth a chance to form a party. On the other hand, talking about the election environment, bringing the Awami League into open politics within the next six months.
Mirror Asia reports that a sub-group has already been formed within the ‘Raw’ to carry out the ‘Bangla Mission’. Recently, the Bangladesh intelligence sub-team ‘Bangla Mission’ has taken into account the comments of Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement about the chicken neck, and the statements of some of the coordinators about the Seven Sisters.
Facebook status of each of them is translated in Hindi and English and given in the table of Victor-2. Victor-2 is a cell of ‘R’ where the latest decisions regarding Bangladesh are taken. According to the newspaper, India is walking in two boats at the moment with regard to Bangladesh. Diplomats have been instructed to maintain contact with the BNP and Jatiya Party besides monitoring the movements of the new government and student agitators in Dhaka. A source in the Prime Minister’s Office of India says that they do not want to open the ‘door’ of talks with Jamaat-e-Islami now, but they want to open the ‘window’.
According to the report, two think tanks in Delhi and one in Assam have been researching the agitation coordinators and their ideology for the last 20 days. Reports from all three organizations say that the party that the coordinators will go on to form will be an anti-India political party. Even if they espouse left-wing revolutionary ideas, religion will not conflict with them. As a result of this ideal, the political space of the leftists in the country will be completely empty, researchers are pointing out. As a result, they are expecting a conflict between the youth and the left. It is from that thought that ‘R’ is in touch with the leftist student leaders.
Apart from this, if they want to give a philosophical and historical basis to the recent mass uprising, they think that the one-shot narrative of the liberation war in Bangladesh’s national history will be undermined, which will weaken India’s soft power in Dhaka. If the spirit of this mass uprising is adopted on a larger scale, the second plan of ‘RA’, ‘Resetel Awami League-2025’, will also become very difficult.
Mirror Asia probed over the past week what might be India’s next plans, with Hasina recently shifted to a government residence in South Delhi. However, another source says that Hasina is currently staying in a building secured by the Intelligence Bureau (IB), India’s domestic intelligence agency. India has had dozens of high-profile meetings with him recently. India’s National Security Adviser and RAW chief himself is looking after Sheikh Hasina and has frequent meetings with her, according to the report.
According to the report, his daughter Saima Wazed Putul is regularly meeting with the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh to restore his morale. Hasina is also doing yoga regularly. Seeing the security arrangements at Hasina’s new residence and the appointment of her personal officers, a Bengali journalist working in Delhi told The Mirror Asia that Hasina will stay in Delhi for a long time.
A Delhi-based researcher on Bangladesh affairs told The Mirror Asia, Hasina has an extraordinary ability to make a comeback. He made comebacks in ’81 and ’96. Surviving a grenade attack in 2004, he made an unstoppable comeback in 2009. He thinks Hasina can return again, maybe she will lead the team from Delhi. But there will be a crisis if the history of mass uprising is made a part of national history, literary works and an ideological basis.
According to the report, India does not want to give more time to students. Delhi thinks that Awami League will be safer during BNP period. Awami League can get a political space if BNP’s various crises come to the fore, if BNP-Jamaat power conflict arises. According to Mirror Asia’s report, when the Hasina government ordered the students to shoot on sight on July 16, the situation gradually turned in favor of the government. Later, at the special request of Sheikh Hasina and under the direct supervision of India’s security adviser, 400 officers trained by Bangladesh ‘RA’ went to Dhaka. According to them, they returned to Delhi on July 28 after suppressing the Kashmiri-style movement. According to Mirror Asia, Raw was not aware of the subsequent situation. They succumbed to CIA tactics on August 5. However, Sheikh Hasina’s decision to leave Delhi on August 5 was not taken suddenly. Hasina and India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval made this plan as part of Plan ‘C’ on August 2. India sees South Asia as its security region, hence there is an intervention of the Security Adviser in these countries.
According to the report, after August 5, Raw plans to stage a counter-revolution under the guise of a minority rally on August 10. A large number of Indian journalists were also present in Dhaka that day. If that fails, a second cure is planned for August 15. That too fails. However, the Ansar rebellion planned in the country recently was taken internally by the Awami League. The Mirror Asia did not find any association with him.
Pointing out that Mirror Asia is keeping an eye on Hasina and India’s next plans, Mirror Asia also spoke to two journalists who monitor Bangladesh, an official from the Prime Minister’s Office, two think tank researchers and one from the Secret Service. A Bangladesh expert from Assam spoke to Mirror Asia. He said that Hasina’s dream of connecting the North East with the mainland of India has been completely shattered. BNP will not cooperate with India in this regard. The new political party will be much more youth oriented, speaking more in the language of politics than diplomacy. He even pointed out that some of their decisions could pose a security risk to the Seven Sisters.
