Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to deploy missiles to hit the West. He issued the warning in a face-to-face meeting with senior editors of international news organizations on Wednesday (June 5).

According to the Moscow Times report, Putin said that if Ukraine is allowed to attack Moscow with long-range weapons provided by the West, it will deploy long-range conventional missiles capable of hitting the United States and its European allies.

He added that Moscow is considering deploying similar high-tech long-range missiles against countries that allow Ukraine to strike Russian territory with such missiles.

However, he did not say anything specific about where he is considering supplying such missiles.Putin said that Russia will never use nuclear weapons, the idea of the West is wrong. The Kremlin’s nuclear policy is not to be taken lightly.Note that US President Joe Biden has given permission to Kiev to use some weapons to attack military targets inside Russia. But Washington has still barred Kiev from striking inside Russia with ATACMS missiles. The range of these missiles and other long-range weapons provided by the US is 300 km.
