Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal commented that the quota agitators are crossing the limit. He said that they (quota agitators) should not crowd the roads unnecessarily. Without spoiling education. Request them to go back to their respective universities.
He said this at a press conference in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat on Thursday (July 11).
Stating that the court wants to listen to the students, the Home Minister said there is no need to make them suffer on the streets. We are taking note of their demands. Many have started to rush to use them. Students should withdraw the agitation without stepping into conspiracy.
He said that the students felt that they were being taken away from their thoughts by the direction of the court. That’s why they came to the streets. We have told our security forces, especially the police, that we will listen to their demands. But there is a limit to listening. They are probably crossing them. They (students) have been doing the same thing for several days.
Stating that the police will not sit back if any untoward situation arises, the minister said, those who are agitating are educated boys, they are talented boys. Why would they go against the state? They will surely observe everything and go back home.
