Oral exam of 4 thousand people canceled in 44th BCS

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has canceled the oral examination of 3,930 candidates of the 44th BCS.


This information was informed in a press release from PSC on Monday evening.

Bangladesh Public Works Commission meeting was held recently regarding ongoing cadre and non-cadre examination. There is this decision.

According to the PSC sources, in the meeting of the newly appointed work commission chairman and 8 members commission, all matters related to the question paper leak of various non-cadre exams including 44th, 45th and 46th BCS exams were seriously discussed. The Commission has taken this decision in the interest of maintaining the transparency, fairness and impartiality of the said examinations.

In the meeting, out of 11 thousand 732 candidates who passed the written examination in the 44th BCS, the oral examination of 3 thousand 930 candidates was held on July 18. After the fall of the government, the rest of the oral exams on August 25 were postponed. Later on October 8, the then commission resigned. In order to maintain parity in the oral examination, it was decided to cancel the partial oral examination of 3 thousand 930 candidates of the 44th BCS 2021 taken by the previous commission and accept the oral examination of all the candidates who passed the written examination i.e. 11 thousand 732 candidates. The date of oral exam will be announced soon.

The evaluation of the 45th BCS written exam answer sheets is in progress and the evaluation by the second examiner is nearing completion. In order to maintain transparency and fairness in the evaluation of written examination answer sheets, the new commission has decided to send all the answer sheets to the third examiner.

According to PSC sources, the results of the 46th BCS preliminary examination were published on May 9. In this examination 10 thousand 638 candidates were selected for the written examination. In this case, with the aim of removing the possible discrimination, it will be decided to announce the result again after considering equal number of candidates eligible for the written exam with the already selected candidates.

Bangladesh Public Service Commission is conducting examination and review regarding written examination held for non-cadre post of Bangladesh Railway (Assistant Engineer). A decision will be taken about this exam very soon.
