Member of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan South Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul said, ‘One of the four-point programs of Jamaat-e-Islami is social reform and social service. As a part of this, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami party, regardless of religion and caste, stands by the people during any suffering or crisis in the country.
He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the ceremony of handing out gifts to the flood-affected people at the school ground adjacent to Comilla’s Burichong Upazila Parishad on Sunday (September 9).
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Comilla District North Branch Deputy Amir Professor Alamgir Hossain Sarkar presided over the distribution program as a special guest, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working council member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Shura member of the Central Majlis and Assistant Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South. Delawar Hossain.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said, ‘July revolution is one of the events in the history of Bangladesh. The Fascist Awami government has carried out genocide by using the maximum force of the state apparatus in the students’ movement. In this massacre, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami stands beside the injured by providing financial support of two lakh taka to each martyr’s family. All the extrajudicial killings of the last 15 years of Awami League’s regime, including this genocide, must be tried on the soil of Bangladesh.
Dr. at the event. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘This flood is caused by India. As a neighboring country, India has been trying to inform Bangladesh. For the last 15 years, the fascist Awami League has made Bangladesh a slave of India. All secret agreements of Awami League with India should be canceled immediately. If necessary, with the help of China, a counter dam should be built opposite the Indian dam to distribute water. From now on Bangladesh will have to respond to every action of India that harms the interests of Bangladesh.’
Claiming that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami wants friendly relations with all neighboring countries, he said, ‘That relation should be for mutual benefit. Not in the interest of one side in any way.’
At the end, various gifts including food items were distributed among the flood affected local people.
