Nurul Haque demands that August be declared the month of revolution

We have asked to review the various important decisions taken by the government (Sheikh Hasina) including National Mourning Day on August 15. It (August 15) is not our month of mourning, it is our month of happiness and peace.’ He also said that he asked to cancel the official holiday of August 15.

Nurul Haque claimed that Awami ‘fascist forces’ have taken a grand plan to carry out a rampage in Dhaka between August 15 and August 21. Along with the law and order forces, they will also form Janata Mancha and take a position all over the country including Dhaka.

General Secretary of Gana Odhikar Parishad Rashed Khan, demanding that Awami League’s politics be banned, said that students were brutally shot dead on the orders of Sheikh Hasina. No way a political party can have an organizational structure in Bangladesh after this murder. Rashed Khan urged the interim government to grant state recognition to those killed in the movement and also to provide employment to one member of their families.

Senior Joint General Secretary of People’s Rights Council Hasan Al Mamun was also present in the meeting with the Chief Adviser.
