Due to the opening of the dam, there is a danger of flooding in the northern part of Bangladesh.
According to Indian media News18, Farakka Dam project sources said that due to heavy rainfall in Bihar and Jharkhand, all the gates have been opened due to the increase in the water level of the Farakka Dam project. The amount of water coming in is the amount of water released. 77.34 has already crossed the danger level. Farakka barrage has no capacity to hold water, so they are forced to release water. If the water is not released, there is a danger that the Farakka barrage will be damaged.
