Opposition Leader of Jatiya Sangsad Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader said that Myanmar is trying to attack the sovereignty of Bangladesh by taking warships near St. Martin. They have been attacking for a long time. They want to come to our territory in different ways. I have heard that the country’s army, navy and air force are very strong. But we don’t see any role for them in this. People are suffering from extreme insecurity. This is really sad.
He said these things to reporters at Rangpur Circuit House after coming to Rangpur on a four-day visit on Saturday afternoon.
GM Quader said, earlier a large number of Rohingyas were pushed into our country. The government showed humanity and shouldered that burden. Let’s try to stop them now. We don’t know if Myanmar will take possession of Saint Martin and let it go for any grandeur. We have a responsibility to protect our sovereignty. I would question why this is happening if Parliament is in session.
GM Quader also said that the budget made by the government is a budget that supports corruption. Various scams have been encouraged in this budget. Cultivation of evil and suppression of morals is done in various principles. People around the government are getting richer and richer, while common people are suffering. This year’s budget is creating a country of discrimination.
He said, I do not know that there was any economic crisis after independence. The government has created the crisis that has arisen. They do ambitious mega projects, extending project durations and increasing project costs. I would say it was a huge waste of money. So there is an economic recession in the country.
GM Quader also said that currently the businessmen are getting the benefit of tax exemption, on the other hand the people have to bear the burden of tax. The government is expected to adopt a contractionary money supply monetary policy. But the syndicate controls the country’s market. So this policy will not work.
The opposition leader said that the government is importing electricity and gas. But the country has huge reserves of gas. The government has no intention of lifting it. Due to this, the people have to use electricity and gas at a high price. Due to gas shortage and high price of gas, many industries have shut down. Unemployment is increasing in the country.
