BNP has accused BNP of attacking the protest rally organized by BNP in Patuakhali district demanding withdrawal of false case against BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, unconditional release and sending her abroad for better treatment. 5 activists of BNP were injured in this. BNP said that the injured have received first aid at different places.
On Wednesday around 10:30 am, there was an incident of attack on the assembly on the Swanirbhar road of the municipal city. The leaders of BNP said that miscreants attacked the assembly place in the morning with a fragmented procession. BNP leaders claim that terrorists supported by Awami have carried out the attack.
District BNP convenor Abdur Rashid Chunnu Mia addressed the gathering, central BNP training affairs secretary Mosharraf Hossain, district BNP member secretary Snehanshu Sarkar Kutti and other leaders addressed the rally. At the same time, the attack on the rally was strongly condemned and protested along with the demands of withdrawing the false case against BNP chairperson and other leaders, unconditional release and sending them abroad for better treatment.
Officer-in-charge of Patuakhali Sadar Police Station Mohammad Jasim said that there was tension over the BNP rally. The police defused the tension and brought the law and order situation under control. At present the situation is normal.
