Our martyrs dreamed of building a beautiful Bangladesh. In the anti-discrimination student movement, the students have made us indebted by giving their lives to make the country newly independent. People could not sleep peacefully, could not vote, could not go to work during the dictatorial Hasina government. Accused thousands of people in false cases, disappeared, killed people extrajudicially. Our brave martyrs have freed the nation from this miserable condition. The bravery shown by Abu Said of Rangpur’s life will be written in golden letters in the history of the world.

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the meeting with the families of martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Kurigram district branch at Kurigram Municipal Town Hall on Monday (September 9).

Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman along with leaders and activists from all over the country are meeting every martyr family periodically and standing by their side. We will be by their side in the future too, inshallah.

There is no atmosphere for elections in the past 15 and a half years of the Awami government. Therefore, every organization should make necessary reforms to create a beautiful and peaceful election environment.

Maulana Abdul Halim said that the anti-discrimination student movement was a successful movement against fascism. So we have to continue our movement against this fascism.
