A teenager named Tapu Hossain was killed at Ishwardi in Pabna after seeing the crime scene in Crime Patrol. After that, the killers planned to disappear the body like the murder of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency MP Anwarul Azim Anna and left his body in pieces in the trunk.
Ishwardi Police Inspector (Investigation) Monirul Islam said that the three arrested initially admitted this. On Sunday morning, he said, DNA tests are being awaited to identify the body.
The dismembered body of a teenager named Tapu Hossain (14) was recovered from a hostel in Iswardi upazila town of Pabna. The teenager was missing for seven days.
On Saturday evening, Tapu’s body was found in room 305 of the third floor of the Aranya hostel in Mashuriapara, behind Ishwardi Government College. His father’s name is Abul Kashem, a rickshaw puller by profession. Their house is in Govt College area.
In this regard, Tapu’s elder brother Apu, who died, said that Tapu’s mobile phone was found switched off on 15th of this month. That day at around 10 pm, Tapu’s phone number informed that your son has been kidnapped. Tapu will be killed if he does not pay Bikas 30 thousand rupees. Then 7000 rupees were given along with expenses. Tapu’s phone number was found to be switched off since then. The next day, my mother filed a complaint at Ishwardi police station. Later today the police found the body.
Apu also said that due to previous enmity with the locals, he took his friends to the room on the third floor of the Aranya hostel next to the house and killed him in a pre-planned manner. The killers then cut the body into pieces and stuffed it in the trunk and fled.
Tanveer Ahmed, a 3rd semester student of the Agricultural Training Institute in room 304 of Aranya Hostel said, I went home on June 11 during the Eid vacation. Return to your dormitory room around noon on Saturday. When you get to the door, a bad smell comes out from inside. Seeing the blood coming out of the door from the adjacent room no. 305, I informed the mess owner through the mess nurse. After that the police came to the spot and opened the lock of the room and found the body parts kept inside the trunk.
Police and locals said that the deceased Tapu used to walk with some young drug addicts from the same area. They used to hang out at the local Husu shop all the time. Recently, Tapu also started using drugs. Before Eid, the killings may have taken place due to drug consumption.
Ishwardi Police Inspector (Investigation) Md. Monirul Islam said that the deceased Tapur’s mother filed a general diary (GD) at the police station on June 16. Based on that source, a half-decomposed body was found in a trunk in a mess in Moshuriapara. Three suspects have already been arrested.
