Dhaka Metropolitan South of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami gave gifts to the students who were on duty at traffic signals in the capital. The gifts were distributed on different roads of the capital today on Friday afternoon.
During the distribution of gifts, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Council member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘Today Bangladesh has reached a new place. Hundreds of students martyred to get this new Bangladesh. We consider those patriotic fighters as the new generation of brave freedom fighters. May Almighty Allah accept them as martyrs. Those who are under treatment in the hospital in the condition of being injured and crippled, may Almighty Allah grant them a speedy recovery.’
He said, ‘Today, student brothers across the country are serving traffic signals as a part of nation building. On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, we send our heartfelt prayers and love to these student friends. Also, we promise to support them in every way. Today, on behalf of the Dhaka Metropolis Dakshin Jamaat, we gave umbrellas, food packets, water etc. as gifts to the students who were on duty on the roads in the capital.
Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘Students and people together, we will all try to build a new Bangladesh. The students have to play a historic role in the formation of the country this time.
Jamaat Central Majlis Shura Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Assistant Secretary Kamal Hossain, Dhaka Metropolitan South Working Council Member Labor Leader Abdus Salam, Dhaka Metropolitan South Assistant Social Welfare Secretary Shahin Ahmed Khan, Yusuf Ali and other leaders of Metropolitan Jamaat were also present.
