Sangram Online: Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP called on the government to find a just solution to the movement of public university teachers to demand the withdrawal of public pension scheme and student society over quota system in government jobs. Professor Mia Golam Parwar. He made this call by giving a statement on Sunday (July 7).
In the statement, he said, “Student society of the country is continuing the agitation to demand cancellation of quota system in government jobs and withdrawal of public pension scheme by teachers of public universities.” As a result of the movement of students and teachers, students and students of all universities of the country are being disrupted. The demands of students and teachers of public universities are certainly justified.
We note with concern that the government continues to ignore the demands of students and teachers. We think that the agitation needs to be ended by meeting the students and teachers of public universities and accepting their just demands.
I call on the government to immediately hold talks with the students and public university teachers of the country and accept their just demands and put an end to the agitation of the students and teachers.”
