Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, ‘Jamaat-e-Islami has been working to protect the country’s independence and sovereignty since its establishment. The people of the country have stopped the evil strategy of separating the Jamaat from the people through propaganda and conspiracy. Therefore, Jamaat-e-Islami is trying to play a stronger and braver role in the future to protect the people of the country, freedom-sovereignty and Islamic values.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the training camp organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (RUCON) in Cox’s Bazar district on Sunday.
Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim and Muhammad Shahjahan spoke as special guests at the educational camp held under the chairmanship of District Jamaat Amir, Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Principal Maulana Noor Ahmad Anwari.
Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, ‘The freedom and sovereignty of the beloved motherland Bangladesh is under threat today. Public safety is in crisis. Due to the degradation of family, social and Islamic values, social security and civil rights have no dignity.’
He said, ‘Due to syndicates, gas, electricity and commodity markets are out of control. The general public is disoriented today. Due to lack of democracy for more than 15 years, corruption, anarchy, terrorism and chaos prevail in all areas. The ruling government is responsible for creating such a suffocating situation. Therefore, the members of the Jamaat should play a leading and courageous role for the welfare and liberation of the people of the country, ignoring all the crises, limitations and bloodshed.
Special guest Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said, “The role of the Prophet in writing the golden chapter of Islam, a group of zindadil, clean, brave, God-fearing and paradise-seeking Companions is clear before the world.” Due to their collective efforts and sacrifices, Islam and Islamic Tahjeeb-Tamaddun have spread worldwide. The members of Jamaat-e-Islami must play a role in the construction of Islamic society by taking vows to acquire and follow the characteristics of the Companions of the Prophet.
Special guest Assistant Secretary General Mohammad Shahjahan said, ‘There is no alternative to acquiring knowledge about Islam and contemporary issues in order to build a family, society and state based on Islamic ideals. In contrast to man-made ideology, the excellence and beauty of Islamic ideals should be presented to people as exemplary models. Members of Jamaat-e-Islami should play a leading role in true, beautiful and benevolent work.
District Assistant Secretary Professor Abu Taher Chowdhury and Zahidul Islam attended the training camp which was attended by District Naib Amir Mufti Maulana Muhammad Habibullah, District Secretary Advocate Farid Uddin Farooqui, Labor Welfare Federation Cox’s Bazar District President Shamsul Alam Bahadur and others.
