Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned the recent explosion of walkie-talkies and pagers across Lebanon that have caused massive casualties. He said that Ankara’s earlier allegations that Israel wants to spread the war across West Asia have been proven in the incident.
The Turkish president made the condemnation on Saturday night on the eve of leaving Ankara for New York to attend the 79th annual general session of the United Nations.
Erdogan said Israel was carrying out attacks in the style of a terrorist group
He said, “Israel has proved through such attacks that Tel Aviv does not care about the loss of civilians. It can do any abomination to achieve its nefarious goals.’
Erdogan also said that these attacks have proved that Israel wants to spread the war in the whole region including Lebanon with the support of some western countries. He also mentioned that the region is currently facing an ‘indescribable dire crisis’.
The Turkish president said that if we want to avoid such a crisis, we must put more pressure on Israel than at any time in the past. He called on the international community, especially the Western countries, to take steps to stop Israel’s heinous crimes.
