Struggle Online: On October 7, Palestinian independence organization Hamas launched a surprise attack by entering Israel’s border. Israel then launched a counter-attack on Gaza. At least 12 more Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in recent Israeli attacks.
Since then, Israeli forces have killed at least 40,602 Palestinians in Gaza. In addition, another 93 thousand 855 Palestinians were injured.
According to several reports from the Gaza Civil Defense, attacks continued in various parts of Gaza, including Jabalia and Khan Younis.
It is reported that Palestinians are not being provided with food, water, electricity and internet services. Israeli forces are besieging the city of Jenin.
The refugee agency UNRWA said 20 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank after Israeli forces launched an offensive on Wednesday. Among the dead are a disabled person and several children.
WHO senior official Rick Peppercorn said, this program will start next Sunday with the aim of giving polio vaccination to about 640,000 children in the Gaza Strip.
The vaccination program will be carried out in three phases in central, southern and northern parts of Gaza. Fighting will be stopped from 6 am to 3 pm local time daily for three consecutive days in each phase.
After nearly 25 years in Gaza, polio virus was detected in the body of a 10-month-old child a few days ago. United Nations officials said that a part of the child’s body has become paralyzed.
12 lakh 60 thousand polio vaccinations have already reached the blocked valley. Another four lakh vaccines are expected to arrive soon
