Israel claims to have killed the head of Iran-backed Hezbollah’s drone division. The Israeli military said it killed Mohammad Sarour in an attack on Thursday afternoon in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. Ignoring international calls, Israel continues to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Hezbollah leader Mohammad Sarur headed the cruise missile and air defense division. Hezbollah confirmed his death on Friday morning. Lebanon’s health ministry said two people were killed in the attack.
The Israeli military said Mohammad Sarur directed several airstrikes against Israel. It is also claimed that the order to attack Israel with explosive-laden drones and cruise missiles came from him.
According to the Israeli army, Mohammad Sarou also led the construction of Hezbollah drones and the establishment of factories in various locations in Lebanon.
In recent times, Israel has hit the top leadership of Hezbollah. Israel killed both Ibrahim Kubaisi, head of the missile department, on Tuesday, and Ibrahim Aqeel, head of military operations, on Friday.
Israel claimed to have hit 220 Hezbollah targets in various locations in Lebanon on Thursday. Hezbollah is also responding. They fired 175 rockets at the northern cities of Israel.
