A madrasa teacher Abul Hossain (50) died after being seriously injured by miscreants’ sharp weapons in Nilphamari.
He died while undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital at 5:20 am on Saturday.
On July 1, Abul Hossain was going to the Islamic Foundation’s mosque-based mass education program after the Fajr prayer. Meanwhile, a group of miscreants ambushed him in Tarnibari village on the Nilphamari-Domar road and tried to kill him by slitting his throat. The miscreants ran away when the locals came forward on his screams. Later he was rescued and taken to Nilphamari General Hospital and the doctor sent him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. A case was filed in the police station in this incident.
Teacher Abul Hossain is the son of deceased Sabir Uddin of Achintala village.
