Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended a warm formal welcome to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is currently in New Delhi on a two-day state visit, in front of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was given a red carpet welcome on the occasion and the national anthems of Bangladesh and India were played.
Modi welcomed the Prime Minister of Bangladesh when he reached the Rashtrapati Bhavan around 9 am.
A horse-drawn contingent of the President’s bodyguards escorted his motorcade from the Rashtrapati Bhavan gate.
A guard of honor was presented to Sheikh Hasina by a contingent of three armed forces of the Indian Armed Forces. After that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inspected the guard and saluted.
The Prime Minister of India then introduced the cabinet colleagues along with Sheikh Hasina in the presentation line. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh also introduced his tour companions to Modi.
