Pakistan is raging in protests demanding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Especially since the Republican candidate Donald Trump was elected president in the US elections, Pakistan’s political arena has become heated. The ministers and opposition leaders of that country are involved in a debate.
Pakistan’s ‘The Dawn’ and ‘The Print’ reported that after Trump’s victory, there was a glimmer of hope among the supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf or PTI.
However, the ruling Muslim League (Nawaz-PML) has rejected such a claim of PTI. Pakistan’s Defense and Foreign Ministers and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson dismissed the matter.
A congratulatory message was posted from Imran Khan’s X handle after Trump’s victory. The post referred to Trump as a ‘very good friend’ of Imran. The post read, “I and PTI congratulate Trump on his victory in the US presidential election.” A reflection of the will of the American people against all odds.
Trump would be good for Pakistan-US relations based on mutual respect for democracy and human rights. We expect him to play a strong role in global peace, human rights and democracy. Khabar bus
