Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “If expatriates come to the country and invest in business, we will be by our side.” We will do our best to resolve any issues in this regard.
He said this while addressing the chief guest at an exchange meeting held at the British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BBCCI) office in London on Wednesday, November 13.
British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BBCCI) President Rafiq Haider and the Director General Solicitor Dewan Mahdi in the exchange ceremony, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said, we want to build a youth-rich Bangladesh where the youth will bravely and uncompromisingly dedicate themselves to the work of building the country.
In response to a question, how does the Jamaat want Bangladesh? Shafiqur Rahman said, Bangladesh will not become Pakistan, neither will Afghanistan. Bangladesh will be like Bangladesh.
Ameer Jamaat also said that nothing will happen in Bangladesh without women. Women will work with full security with self-respect. If a man works for 8 hours, women should be allowed to work for 6 hours, so that besides work they can raise their family and take care of their children.
Regarding minorities, he said, we will not consider anyone as minority or majority in the country. We are all Bangladeshis. Together we want to build a United Bangladesh. Where followers of every religion can safely practice their religion. He requested all concerned to follow the principle of Right man in right place to build the country.
