People’s Rights Council (GOP) president Nurul Haque Noor says, ‘Sheikh Hasina has fled the country but her henchmen are still active. They have committed murder in Gopalganj. Everyone involved in the murder of Gopalganj must be arrested within the next week, otherwise no one will have a job in the administration there.’
He said this at a discussion meeting at the party’s office on Sunday (September 15) at 11:30 am. The discussion meeting was held on the seven-point proposal of the Bangladesh Youth Rights Council to the interim government to resolve the unemployment epidemic in the country.
Nurul Haque Noor said, ‘The future of the country depends on the success of this interim government. If this government succeeds, it will be good for the people of the country, and if it fails, the people of the country will suffer. So everyone should cooperate to make the government successful. We have been supporting the government from our place and will continue to do so.’
Three said, ‘Gopalganj terrorists organized and attacked the army, it is a shame for us. If they are not disciplined, they can cause major accidents in the future. It has been reported in the newspaper that all 56 people of the new DC are beneficiaries of Awami League, it is not possible to reform the country by keeping them in the administration. Students have given the opportunity to rebuild the country, now it will be the responsibility of the youth to finish their unfinished work. Youth organizations should now work unitedly to build the country. There should be at least 150 young MPs in Parliament in future. At present, the age of 25 years to elect a member of Parliament should be reduced to 21 years. Young people should be given a chance.’
In the discussion meeting, party general secretary Md. Rashed Khan said, ‘State reform is not feasible by rehabilitating Awami League. Awami beneficiaries are being removed from different places and Awami beneficiaries are being appointed. It is dishonorable with the blood of martyrs. One person should be assigned one ministry. But one person has been given the responsibility of several ministries. It is in a state of chaos everywhere. At least 50 people are needed in the advisory council. State reform is never possible without competent people. Chaos has already started everywhere. The state is at a standstill. To reform the state requires the collective efforts of all. But there is reluctance to involve political parties in the work. Can you reform the state by keeping the political party away?’
President of Bangladesh Youth Rights Council Manjur Morshed Mamun said, ‘These seven point proposals are undisputed proposals aimed at liberating the youth. The government will immediately take this proposal into consideration, otherwise public opinion will be created among the youth across the country. The Bangladesh Jubo Odhikar Parishad will issue a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on September 20 (Friday) and September 22 (Sunday).
