The Iranian-backed Lebanese armed group Hezbollah launched a rocket attack on northern Israel. This information was reported in the live report of Qatar-based media Al Jazeera on Thursday (September 19).
The group said the attack was carried out in support of Palestinians in Gaza and in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Majdal Seelim and Blida in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah claimed that they attacked Israel in four rounds. Rockets were fired at an Israeli artillery position in Niv Ziv, a headquarters in Habushit Mountain, Al Shaal Battalion at Beit Hillel barracks, and a Bayad Blida installation.
However, no details were given about the amount of damage or casualties in these attacks. Apart from this, Israel has not commented on these attacks.
Earlier, pagers and walkie-talkies exploded in Lebanon last Tuesday and Wednesday. At least 32 people have been killed. More than three thousand were injured. Lebanon blamed Israel for these attacks.
