The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in three parts of the country.
This information was given in the weather forecast on Thursday morning.
It said, a low pressure has formed in the West-Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal. The extension of the monsoon axis extends over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and northern parts of Bangladesh to Assam. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal.
Regarding the rainfall in the next 24 hours, it has been said that many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and some places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thunder. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country during this time.
According to the weather forecast for tomorrow Friday, many places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thundershowers. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
